About BTO Northern Ireland

We undertake a wide range of monitoring and research work across Northern Ireland, from seabird monitoring to species reintroduction. We also run public events open to everyone, to help increase engagement with our work and with the natural world. We are a dynamic team of staff and volunteers based throughout Northern Ireland, and we are always looking for more people to join us and help improve our knowledge of Northern Ireland's birds and wildlife.
The more we know about our bird populations, the better we can inform and influence conservation policy-making in the province, and the planning of conservation action.
