Introduction

A pretty North American Warbler with yellow wing and crown patches, Golden-winged Warbler is declining throughout its north-eastern US range and it is an extremely rare visitor to Britain.

To date the only British record concerns a bird found in Maidstone, Kent in 1989, causing one of the biggest twitches in UK birding history.
