Introduction

Recalling a heavy-set juvenile Willow Warbler, Melodious Warbler is a scarce migrant in spring and autumn from breeding grounds located in south-western Europe.

A few dozen individuals are reported from Britain & Ireland in most years, with the south-west taking the lion's share of these.
