Short-toed Eagle

Short-toed Eagle

Circaetus gallicus
Short-toed Eagle, Yoav Perlman

Introduction

This migratory raptor is widely distributed in southern Europe and east into central Asia. Although western populations are migratory, wintering across central Africa and sometimes making exploratory movements to the north of the breeding range, this remains a rare visitor to Britain & Ireland.
