Cisticola juncidis
Introduction
Zitting Cisticola is a small, brown warbler, and a very rare visitor to Britain & Ireland from southern European wetlands, where it breeds.
Largely resident in habits, it is thought that European birds may be partial migrants. Zitting Cisticola was recorded breeding on the Channel Islands in 2009.

Distribution
The first confirmed breeding by Zitting Cisticolas in the region covered by the Britain & Ireland bird atlases was recorded at Port Soif on Guernsey in 2009. This followed a singing male on Alderney in 2008 and previous unconfirmed breeding reports there.
